Well.. my girlfriend is sick?!

Question: I visited her today, and she was tired. Last night, she was coughing and had a runny nose.

Today she said she had a bad headache and she had a dry cough, and her nose was runny. She was also very tired.

The thing is, I called her about 30 minutes ago and she was completely out of it. She wasn't acting like herself.. My guess is that she was just really tired and feeling like garbage. She was worried that she was really sick. She seemed really tired, like she was falling back in and out of sleep while on the phone. I'm guessing she has the flu, and shes really tired.
She's talked like this to me (making no sense, falling in and out of sleep etc) before when she was really tired and fell asleep at my house.

I'm just gonna let her rest tonight and I'll end up talking to her tomorrow because shes going out with her mom.
Anyways, what do you think she's sick from?

Does she have a fever? Ask her mom if her eyes are sensitive to light. Is her neck muscles sore and can she move it without complaint of pain? Most importantly how long has she been this way? If its only been a day or two then and she has the flu, anti virals can still be given to help lessen the severity. If it been more than two days they won't be of much help. Increased temperature is important to monitor especially if she's not taking in much to start with. When temps increase your body loses fluid via the sweat glands and if not replenished can cause confusion and electrolyte imbalance. The reason that I asked about light sensitivity was with all of the symptoms you've mentioned if she does have an increased temp and light sensitivity then she may have Mono or meningitis. Check with her mom and if she has the symptoms I've asked you about get her to a doctor right away for treatment. Make sure that she is drinking plenty of plain cool water and stay away from tylenol as if she is dehydrated it could raise her liver enzymes and cause more problems. Advil or asprin are better in this case. I hope that she feels better soon.

sounds like a bad cold or the flu. Is she keeping fluids down, if not then she should get to a doctor...

She needs lots of rest and some medicine. Offer to go to the store for her if she needs anything.

It sounds like the flu and she might be taking meds that might her tired also so that might be playing a part in it also.

Sounds like a upper respiratory infection, likely caused by a virus. Flu symptoms usually feature high fever, and muscle aches. One other option is mono with the severe fatigue.
