Urinary Tract Infection with dark, bloody urine.?!
Question: I went to a Walk-In Clinic today with a UTI because I woke up with the chills, and passing very small amounts of very bloody, dark urine.
The place didn't really examine me, but did take my temp, and a urine sample. I had a fever, and very dark, very bloody urine with sediment in it.
The Nurse gave me Bactrim, so I think this will clear up soon. I hope so because I am in agony!
Here is my question- I should have asked the Doctor but didn't get to.
Can a UTI cause discharge? The Nurse told me my Urine had a lot of sediment and blood in it. And when I went to the bathroom just now- it seems as if I have discharge too- not bad looking just more than usual and enough to make my undies feel damp.
Please help! I want to make sure I don't have something more than a UTI.

well since you are already on an antibiotic, try drinking cranberry juice ( a free radical that can help) and a lot of water AND if you are not doing better within three days, go see a doctor for a recheck.
Go back and ask. It may be part of the UTI but you sound like you want a full screening - I know I would! Don't be embarrassed; it's your body and your health!
A warm bath and drinking lots of water will help, as will wearing a panty liner for now. I'll bet you're feeling pretty ill right now, so take a rest!
Blood in the urine is usually a sign of Hematuria and you should have been given Cipro instead. Go/call them back and see if you can get Pyridium - that will relieve the pain of the UTI for now (until the antibiotics kick in).
Also, Cranberry juice is fine but water is the universal solvent and the best and most natural solution.
I don't know your age or situation; you could potentially be having a miscarriage, a UTI, or a pelvic infection. If your temp is very high at all, you should be seen by a doctor NOW. I'd suggest a trip to an ER or Urgent Care if your temp is high - better to be safe than sorry.
yes a UTI can cause some discharge. But according to what you were describing there is something much more going on that a simple UTI. You need to go see a different Doctor to get this figured out. Good luck
OMG i have the exact same problem i thought it was just me i went to the docs i am now on antibiotics its horrible its like bloody watery discharge i dnt no whats goin on eather !!
