Sores on legs, not ingrown hairs or staph, ideas?!

Question: So, I have these sores on my lower legs (typically shins, sometimes sides, never calves). I got the first one in September of 2006, then in May of 2007 I got about 5 more, and in February of 2008 I got 3 more. They tend to show up on my right leg more than my left.

When the first one popped up, I didn't think much about it, I assumed it was an ingrown hair. Then, when the next batch popped up, including 1 on my left leg, I went to my General Practitioner to get it checked out. He had no idea what it was and sent me to a dermatologist, who ran a bunch of tests and determined that it wasn't an allergic reaction to anything, and not staph, and that my bloodwork was normal. I stopped going to see him because he was wasting my money and not giving me any answers. Now I have 3 more!

They start out looking like white head pimples, then they get extremely red all around. They eventually pop, leaving large, red circles on my legs that end up in crater scars. Any ideas?

sounds like you have comedogenic acne on your legs.

but they could also be a form of psorisis.

or even excema i know i get excema on my legs and it flares op if my skin is too dry....

see if putting an on the spot acne treatments help?

good luck
