Actually, I think you can get an STD from not cleaning down there also. If a lot of bacteria grows down there and it's not treated, you could possibly get an STD without having to get it from someone else

It should be a planned decision to have sex. If you are comfortable enough to have sex with a person, you should be comfortable enough to get tested with them. You would be surprised how willing your prospective partner will be. It will make the experience more enjoyable because you won't have to worry. And the person who said you could get STDs from washing or no contact with another person? That is 100% false. Sexually Transmitted Diseases have to be transmitted from person to person. If you didn't get it from someone else, it is not an STD.
