Yes, through sex, sharing needles, fluid exchange or toilet seats. But STDs don't naturally exist in the wild, they must be passed from one carrier on to another.

Actually, I think you can get an STD from not cleaning down there also. If a lot of bacteria grows down there and it's not treated, you could possibly get an STD without having to get it from someone else

Yes, it is called a sexually transmitted disease because you must have sex with a person with the disease.

Yes...STDs may be spread by various types of sexual behavior. Many are spread by secretions; some are spread simply by the close physical contact from sex. Many STDs are spread by other methods such as by blood and mother-to-fetus or mother-to-child.

*rolls eyes* not at all...
YES

Yes of course. But you never know who has it and who doesn't. So be careful! Go get tested at the free clinic in your area with your partner before having sex. I do this, seriously. It should be a planned decision to have sex. If you are comfortable enough to have sex with a person, you should be comfortable enough to get tested with them. You would be surprised how willing your prospective partner will be. It will make the experience more enjoyable because you won't have to worry. And still use condoms because people cheat and babies should always be planned. Good luck take that advice its golden

And the person who said you could get STDs from washing or no contact with another person? That is 100% false. Sexually Transmitted Diseases have to be transmitted from person to person. If you didn't get it from someone else, it is not an STD.

yeah, hence the name, sexually transmitted diseases!
