Hep B and ssi supplemental income? why?!
Question: Hep B is so contagious. Why the goverment doesn't do anything to help does who contracted it? why can't Hep B people get unemployment income so it will reduce the risk of passing to others. People needs the right to survive.

A person with Hep B isn't necessarily contagious. It's a blood borne disease, so if the person isn't bleeding, the likelihood of giving it to someone else is almost nil.
In other words, as a GENERAL rule, there's no reason a Hep B patient can't work. For any individual, however, the disease (or the treatment) may make them too weak to work.
I don't know where you live but I live in Palm Beach County and our health department gives the a and b series there. I had mine done for free. You might just have to look further. Although I certainly hope with budget cuts they did not do way with this program that indeed would be tragic. Also hep c testing and HIV screenings were free. Oh I just realize you have Hep B..yes I agree while the spread is possibly contagious it is very irresponsible for them to not to give you unemployment during this period. It is an election year doubtful but worth a try see if your district congressman can help by writing a letter and making him aware. Best of luck.
