I have so much wax in my ears, my prescribed medicine drops won't stay in?!
Question: I did everything the medicine adviced, like pulling my ear lobe so the medicine can go to the back of the ear canal...the stupid doctor did not clean out my ears with that long thing but he gave me drops to clean it out...it won't stay in my ear...suggestions

Go to an ear specialist, not your regular doctor. They can get it out. My family has always had ear problems thru every generation. If yours is the same way, don't mess around with a regular doctor. There might be more going on than your regular doctor knows. There might be a problem with your drainage tube.

Have you ever tried the wax candles that you get from GNC to clean out the wax? They seem to help.
Try a Q-Tip - but use it very gently.
Also, try lying with your head on one side on a heating pad. Makes the wax softer and easier to remove.
Go back to the doctor and tell them the treatment is not working and to have him clean it out himself or refer you to someone that will.
Or find a new doctor.
Keep your head tilted to the side for each ear at least five minutes. You should repeat twice a day for a week. After a couple of days the drops will penetrate. It also helps to put a small piece of cotton in your ear after a couple of minutes. Opening and closing your mouth while the drops are in will also help.
Have you tried tilting your head, administering the drops then placing a portion of a cotton ball in your ear & keeping your head tilted for at least 15 minutes? You can pull down on your ear lobe while you are tilted & this will open your ear canal more.
Ear candles are highly acclaimed for treating wax buildup.
