Question: Went to doctor already for hoarseness,he thinks it may be allergy to stuff at work gave nasacort AQ,is setting up for a ENT to look at voice box.Have no lumps,no swelling nothing except the hoarseness. It does go away a little when not at work.
Won't get into the ENT for 3 months,if its cancer won't the hoarseness get worse instead of better?Dose voice cancer hoarseness come and go or is the hoarseness stay syeady? Since this horseness comes and goes might it just be polups?

Hoarseness from cancer would be more likely to progressively worsen (or at least not improve). Many other non-serious things can cause intermittent hoarseness, like allergies, acid reflux, and laryngeal polyps:

You are doing the right thing by getting an ENT exam. Remember, it is much more likely that this is not cancer.

Rest your voice, stop smoking if you do now, and avoid exposure to other peoples smoke. Be also smart to avoid alcohol as this can trigger more inflammation in the throat.

Best to you,

it could be anyone of those
or none
try rinsing your mouth in warm salt water
not much salt
try not to talk for afew days and see if it gets better
