There are alot of other medicine. Usually zofran is given. Its one of the strongest and has the least side effects. There is also reglan, tigan, or compazine. Compazine can have side effects such as tremors and nervousness.

Usually codine or morphine will cause nauseousness after surgery. The bad part is, it takes about eight hours to leave the system, in which time, you will continue to be ill. Ask for something that will not make you throw up.
