Tanning and getting darker is a result of pigmentation. Pigmentation is your bodies way of repairing itself and protecting itself from future exposure to the sun.

There are a couple of things you can do about making your skin less pigmented:

1. Stay inside. If you want to take it really far you will have to take vitamin D supplements to substitute what you lose from not going in the sun for less than 1 hour a day.
2. You can increase levels of salt in your body. Low levels of salt increase the chances of getting burnt and leave you skin "weak" if you will. Have you ever noticed that the potato crisp eating computer nerds are always as white as snow.
3. Eat well. This includes foods that contain vitamins such as A and E, both assist in protecting your skin from any damage.
4: Wash your skin/Shave your legs. Only a few layers of skin are actually darkened, by ex-foliating, excessive washing and shaving, these layers come off with ease and does not generally leave you skin harmed.

These things should help getting your skin glowing a nice shene of white again, Good Luck!

OMG you are so lucky. I'm so white it's disgusting. Own it! lol.

Well that's easy, just stay inside most of the time. It'll take you about a few months or a year to seem lighter.

get out of the sun... ur pigment will get slightly lighter over time... start wearing sunblock and lotion whenever ur outside

dont go in the sun as much. i know this because im a swimmer and when i swim in the summer im really dark but when i dont swim and stay indoors i m lighter
