Hello,
You need to start regularly applying lotion &/or oils. Don't just do this once you've a new skin tear. You need to do it every day, as a preventative regimen. Your skin may not appear dry to you. If your footwear fits properly, & you've no fungal infxn, though. Dryness is why you've recurring small tears in the skin. Good Luck, Twinkle Toes.

Loads of lotion, a thick lotion not the watered down stuff. Apply it in the cracks..And all over.

You might try using a foot powder while you are actually doing your dancing, & keep Vaseline slathered on at night (wear socks so you don't mess up your bed). If you have continued problems, you may need to see a doctor. Another thing that is helpful if to change your shoes & socks frequently, like every couple hours until you solve the problem..

Sounds life athlete's foot.
