Gynocologist never called back?!

Question: I had my papspear done on 2/19 and the doctor said if i didn't get a phone call it means everything's ok. I haven't heard anything to date.. should i still call and make sure i didn't get dropped between the cracks, just to be sure everything is fine?

This was my first papsmear is a few years (i know!); my last one was + for hpv virus... this was my first time seeing this new doctor which did my pap.. she said the virus could have went away on its own.. does this mean it probably did since they haven't called?

If your gynecologist doesn't call you back. Then you make another to him/her, inquiring about your test results. If you still don't receive a call back, go in person to the office and speak with the office manager about your concerns. When it comes to your sexual health, you should never leave nothing to chance, I don't give a diddly squat, how busy the dr. is, you have the right to know, PERIOD.

I'm a 40ish Latina female and based on our prior sexual history, we have to keep up on this, till the day we die, because viruses can lie dormant in us for years and we might not know what we got, till it's too late. That's good you get your checkups, so do I. Don't feel like you're alone. And since you say, this is a new dr., I go in person and inquire what's going on.

Good luck!

You should call he is probably just coming up with a way to tell you you have hiv

i freaked out when i didn't get a call back but they told me that they only call when somethings wrong. it wouldn't hurt to call them and ask anyway so that way you don't have to worry about it. ifsomething was wrong they would of called

Yes, you should call.

Personally, I think it's very unwise medicolegally for a doctor to say "If you don't hear from me it means it's okay". They might have an error with your contact details, or there may have been some other failure of communication.

If you go to the trouble of having a test, then always check the results.

to be sure, you contact her and it will end your worries.

you should be getting a written report irregardless .............
go ask for 1..

did ur vagina try to eat him? by the look of your avatar i must ask one question...why do whales beach themselves?
