I had a urinary tract infection 2 weeks ago, took the antibiotic, now it's b!

Question: They gave me yet another type of antibiotic, I am just sick of this. I am so careful what I eat, drink, to be always warm, wipe the right way, etc., but it keeps coming back and all the doctors do is change the name of the antibiotic... It always seems to go away, but few weeks later it's all back. What can I do??? I

Forget the poison being distributed by your local quackery and purchase and start consuming copious quantities of cranberry juice, not the crappy kind either. Good pure cranberry juice, you can supplement it with a tablet form purchased at your local health store. Even if you continue to eat those pharmaceuticals distributes by your primary pill pusher, I would get on the juice. We had a girl in our family who had recurring urinary tract infections and cranberry juice is how she finally remedied the problem, after trying multiple treatments at a pill pusher's office. She now drinks the stuff religiously, and no longer has to suffer the problem. Antibiotics are too freely dispensed and easily become resisted by your body. Their frequent dispensation is also the reason many hospitals in this land have a continuous war going on with particular strains of staph, which they cannot control, let alone eliminate.

They need to put you on long term antibiotics or a prophylactic course of antibiotics... They should give you 100mg of macrobid to take every night for at least 3 to 4 months. Also you need to consult with an actual urologist to make sure there is not a physical abnormality in your urinary tract

Your complaint is way more common than you may think. Some individuals are just predisposed to frequent UTI's for a variety of reasons. The physicians are doing the right thing by changing the antibiotic, but they are treating it empirically unless they are taking a culture with the urine results. The next time you go in, specifically ask them to take a urine culture and sensitivity. This will allow them to find the exact organism that is causing the UTI as well as the best antibiotics to treat it. Best of luck and I hope you find relief soon!

Listen to all of the other answers you got before mine, they were some good ones. Also try to avoid sexual relations, until you've finished your medicine. Sex can some times reintroduce the bacterias.
