Possible side effects of long term use of Sudafed Pe and Rhinocort together with!
Question: My husband has severe allergies and regularly takes sudafed Pe, uses Rhinocort nasal spray and has at least 2 stubbies of full strength beer per day. He is also taking fat buster metabolism tables and regularly takes nurophen pain killers. He has started having severe moods and is often angry or depressed. I am wondering if the combination and long term use of the above medication could be causing this?

Yes, quite possibly. Alcohol should never be combined with prescription pain killers and steroids; they can contraindicate each other and/or have severe side effects, the mood swings for example.
It would be a good idea for him to consult a physician about these side effects-he/she may want to change his medication or add an antidepressant.
