Could be as simple as allergies, could be as bad as pneumonia or asthmatic bronchitis. See a DR. ASAP. VERY IMPORTANT--you could die if your bronchial tubes swell too much--i know, I've been there many times. Don't play around. Sleepiness could be a result of several things; lack of good clean oxygen to blood (usually happens with breathing problems), your body trying to shut off so it can heal, and exhaustion from all that coughing and the work it takes to breath.

ya porobably mono. go to the doctor.

You know what I do when I don't have an immediate answer? I call Swedish medical center and speak to a consulting nurse FOR FREE. 206) 684-3000. You may have to leave a message with the operator but the nurses are quick to call back, usually within 30 min or less.

Could it be the flu? Wipe Vicks on the soles of your feet, then put bedsocks on. You won't cough all night. Don't eat/drink dairy products to keep mucous production down. Drink flavored gingerale or lemonade, and water. Take pills for headache, no need to suffer, and sleep! Enjoy the rest, it will be Spring on Thursday.

there are so many viruses and infections going around right now! Chances are you've got some sort of infection, and if it's in your chest, you need to get to the doctor ASAP-- it's probably bronchitis if it's not already pneumonia, and pneumonia is serious stuff. It's very hard to treat and takes a long time to recover from! If you go to the doctor or the ER as soon as you can, then you could possibly stop the infection from turning into pneumonia if it hasn't already. It really is important that you seek medical attention quickly.

You're going to need some form of antibiotics, perhaps even steroids to help with your breathing. go to the doctor!!

Open your mouth and say "aaahhh." Oh wait - this is an online community who cannot see you or diagnose you. You probably should make an appointment with your healthcare provider.
