Have any adult acne sufferers benefited from going to a dermatologist?!
Question: I have been getting these large bumps on my face and jaw line area. Before one will go away another one will be forming. They get pretty big and they hurt pretty bad. This isn't like a little zit that no one would notice. I have heard mixed things about dermatologist's and was wondering if anyone has actually had any luck by seeing one.

Yes, it helps to go see a dermatologist. There are so many products that are only available through a prescription. The co-pays for many of these products cost less (assuming you have typical insurance) than what it will cost for you to buy some over-the-internet product. The prescription product will also frequently last longer. Dermatologists really saved my skin. Some are definitely better than others -- so the first one you come to might not be the right one for you, or he/she might be. Just look for one willing to work with you and take input and feedback. You should definitely go if your skin is bothering you. Good luck!
Dermatologists are GREAT!! Been in the field for 13 years :0) but if you did not want to spend the $$ to go see one you can try "unblemish" by rodan and fields...THIS STUFF ROCKS!!!!!!!
