When should you be concerned about an abscess?!

Question: I have one under my arm, and it's getting bigger - it's like the size of a small - med kiwi - and it hurts and it all red and owie! I get them regularly, and I don't know why! This one won't seem to drain though! I have been putting compresses on it, and soaking it and all that. It's been here for like 3 days and seems to try to come up... but I don't know.

I know I probably should go to a doc, but I can't afford it and don't have insurance.

I get one under my right arm all the time, and usually I catch them....when I do they are usually the size of a kumquat, and when I pop them they hurt like hell and I usually cry. I have never had one the size of a kiwi, but maybe you can lance it yourself, I guess it would depend how deep it is, I have had to lance my own before. Gross huh? ..... If you don't think you can do that, how about going to a clinic in your area? I know it kinda seems shady or chop-shop like, but I am certain they could help you.

go to the doctor...now...while u still have time...JK..but u should go soon =]

I would be concerned about any abscess. Yours is fairly large and requires immediate treatment. Right now you can't afford not to.

Staph infections, including MRSA, generally start as small red bumps that resemble pimples, boils or spider bites. These can quickly turn into deep, painful abscesses that require surgical draining. Sometimes the bacteria remain confined to the skin. But they can also burrow deep into the body, causing potentially life-threatening infections in bones, joints, surgical wounds, the bloodstream, heart valves and lungs....

go to a doc. find a free clinic. ER or somthing,,,

Doctor or over the counter drugs. lmao

hope this helps

GOD BLESS;)

There is a suave called boil ease, which will work in some cases, But if nothing else get to the doctor or emergency room. For one thing it's an infection complete with puss, which if neglected long enough it will get into your blood stream, and you can go into shock & \or die frrom the infection , since it doesnt have far to go to get to your heart I'd go to the emergency room and just make payments ,, they cant refuse payments, even if it's 5.00 per mth.

You need to go to the doctor. It 'ts more important that you take care of your self.
