pink eye is NOT airborne. you can only get it if the mucus from the infected eye somehow gets into your eye. Just wash your hands and you'll be fine.

do not touch your eyes or face with your hands, unless you wash your hands, then you can... otherwise there is no chance... you will see that maybe shes itchin her eyes then holding a pencil then u grab that pencil to write on and then itch ur eye for a sec because a eyelash is bothering you and bam... so just pay attention to stuff like that and your fine, but it is VERY contagious..

if you come in contact with something they have handled after they touch their eyes, then you can get it. i had pink eye all the time when i was young but my three brothers never got it. my mom made sure i washed my hands ect..... good luck

It is likely being pink eye is very contageous. With extreme caution, you will get away. Assuming the roommate got his/her meds and is using it. Wash hands often.
