What is in a thyroid 1 pill and is there an equivalent to it?!
Question: I have been seeing a weight loss doc and the only thing that I have taken that has worked was the thyroid 1 pill... the doc is on the other end of town and I have asked my gp if he could give me a script for it ...
I have all the symptoms of a thryoid that doesnt work right... but am right on the border with the blood work...

What do you mean by on the border? A TSH over 2.o shows that there is a slowdown in the gland. A TSH over 3.0 should be treated with thyroid meds. When you have thyroid testing, is it always first thing in the mornin? TSH should always be taken first thing in the morning when metabolism is near its slowest. An afternoon test can stop a diagnosis.
The best thing you can do is get retested in the morning. Get a TSH, free t4, and free t3. Do not take the thyroid meds for a while, so that the doctor can really tell if you are hypothyroid. I advice at least 6 week period of time.
There really isn't anything equal to the thyroid meds
