What should my blood sugar level be?!

Question: i am 14 years old, i am 5'3" and about 109 pounds. i play sports, not overweight and i'm pretty short. can someone tell me what my blood sugar level should be because my dad had diabetes and i'm concerned that i have it. i asked a question before and i forgot to ask what my level should be. so if you could tell me what it should be and where i can get tested, i will pick you as a best answer.

Hi

A normal blood sugar (depending on which lab reference you are using) is between 4-7 mmols fasting i.e before food. Pref 8 hrs. Is there a reason you are concerned other than your dad having it? Are you having symptoms like weight loss, tiredness, drinking a lot more than usual if so the best way to get checked is go to your doctor or nurse and they will do a fasting blood test called a HbA1c which will give you an average over the previous 3 months and then they can take it from there. Please don't assume though that because your dad has it you will. The chances of you getting it does increase but it is by no means a guarantee. Please talk to your parents and tell them how you are feeling

For a normal person Blood Glucose(Sugar) Varies between 70mg-100mg..But you could also ask your doctor if you can get blood tests done to tell you if its out of range.

your doc can test you. levels should be 70 -140, i have diabetes so i know.
