Other than being an organ donor, why would a healthy teenager need a kidney surgery first of all?
But yes, kidney surgery is risky at any age group.

there are risks associated with any type of surgery... theyr like... inside you! lol
as far as kidney surgery goes, its obviously not as high risk as heart, lung, brain etc but it is still quite risky due to the nature of the tissue. (very fragile capsule hard to repair)
