Lymphoma Fears?!
Question: About 2 months ago, I found a hard lump in my groin area, which I was told was an enlarged lymph node but not to worry as I had EBV about 6 weeks before that. However, the node has just gotten harder and a bit bigger. I also started having night sweats, lack of appetite, inconsistant fevers, itchiness all over my body, pain at the very top of my abdomen below the sternum that gets worse when it's pressed on, chills, and extreme fatigue. However, my bloodwork that was done a few weeks ago was normal. A little less than a week ago my GP said I should see an oncologist to make sure I don't have lymphoma. She said not to worry, that I'll be fine (I'm only 14 so I don't know how much of it was just to calm me down). So I have my oncologist appointment tomorrow and I'm really worried. What can I expect? Do my symptoms sound like lymphoma or is the doctor jsut being overly cautious? Thank you so much!

Hi Katie,
Yes your symptoms sound very much like lymphoma and your doctor was correct to send you to an oncologist. I know it
