it's not if, it's when. the next pandemic is a fatal flu. world health organization..WHO-is monitoring it by the hour .avian flu, or bird flu is the next virus that will kill millions of us.presently, you get it by eating an infected chicken. it can't be spread by contact or air. however.eventuallya person with a comon flu, that does spread by contact will eat an infected chicken.-when we are sick with the flu we don't want to eat though- anyway when the bird flu mixes with the comman flu it will become a mutated lethal flu.no one on the earth will be immune.birds fly, people fly. it will be worse than the spanish flu in 1918. that flu killed 23 million people around the world. this was in a time when planes didn't fly across the ocean yet. it killed more people than world war 0ne. i go to the site now and then.it's like a horror movie about what would happen.every thing would shut down because of all the sick. the site explains it better than me.this flu attacks the lungs and the sick begin to bleed inside. it isn't sick in the stomach with fever, nurses said that the last flu in 1918, that nurses couln't tell the differences from black men and white men. well it's awful to say the least.google bird flu and read about it. scientists have regular conferences, politicians have made plans, more details than i can type. funny i was just going to check the site when i read your question. i'm checking now. lol. good luck.

Like Kathy P said, the most likely next pandemic will be the flu. Some of the recent health reports by the cdc and the likes of that, said that there is a strong possibility of having a serious outbreak of the flu. In some small third world countries, there have been outbreaks of things like Malaria and such, but with vaccines, it's highly unlikely of it occuring anywhere else.
