My cat scratches me and i have an allergic reaction?!
Question: My cat and I play around alot,but today he scratched me on my arm and i started itching like crazy 5 min after,i have only had two allergic reactions before this and still dont know what its from,my cat is two years old,and i never had allergies around him before,but i am starting to think its from the scratches? is this possible and what would be in his nails that would cause this?

Well, for one thing cats do step into their cat litter and even scratch their existing waste product in there, so,... particles from there could be in his nails. Do you apply Neosporin on it right away? If not- you should. Benadryl topical ointment/creme should help control the scratching or you could also take Benadryl orally. All those can be bought at the store. We used to have cat, but we had to get rid of him because my 2 year old son didn't quit pulling his tail and the cat scratched him every time in return. I used the products I mentioned here to prevent infection.
