I'm perfectly normal. But when I was aged 7 to 12 (I'm 49 now)?!

Question: I used to lay in bed and every movement I made felt like it was in fast motion and it was distressing. The experience would last for about two hours.

I'm wondering what it was that made me experience that uncomfortable feeling.

It may help to know that I shared a bedroom with my older sister who had epileptic convulsions and I was her primary carer through the night.

Was I suffering from some disorder or just growing up or what?

you were probably having anxiety attacks. being that young and being expected to care for a sick sibling is tough, it wouldnt be surprising if you were just going thru some sort of anxiety or panic attack. they are different for everyone. i had them for about a month at the end of last year because of a large ammount of stress i was going thru. i never had them before or since but they were very uncomfortable for me, dizzzy, sweating, shaking, heart racing, especially when i laid down.

Probably was stress. If it's gone now don't worry.

Sounds like Growing Pains. Are you tall?

Probably just post sugar/caffeine episodes.

I also had that very same feeling when i was around that young age. I have been diagnosed with Epilepsy. I now have grandmal seizures...but when i was younger...i had absence seizures...and i've figured that those were a mild form of it.... I just remember feeling really werid and like i was paralyzed and if i did move it felt very very weird to me... thats just my experience. I'd also like to add that now i still continue to have those absence seizures..but they occur more now when i drive...i'll be perfectly find to drive but when i come out of one...i won't have any idea how i got there...stuff like that

you should see a doctor/ councilor to help you through these issues from your past that you seem to be so resentful of

yeah i think it might be anxiety attack. i had that once. i couldnt sleep and all and kept on crying. i didnt know why. i had school the next day. i stayed awake until 5 then slept and woke up at 6.30 and got ready for school. it was the worse night of my life. but thank god that i do not have that now. if you have an anxiety attack, the best thing is just to close your eyes and try to breathe slowly.

Growing pains or sympathy feelings for your sisters ailment. It sounds pretty normal to me. (2 older sisters)

maybe i am not right on this but it sounds like panic attacks. hmm you sound ok now but maybe you were worried about your sick sister i suffer from panic attacks myself and i still get them at stressful times.
