How long does it take for your appendix to burst if you have appendicitis?!
Question: Not long, as little as a few hours in some cases. Appendicitis is serious enough, but a ruptured appendix is even more serious. When your appendix ruptures, it leaks to other parts of your body and you get sepsis (blood infection), and could possibly die. Trust your instincts, appendicitis is not something to mess with.

Ask Matt Hardy.
It varies, as little as a few hours, sometimes you can go much longer. Don't fool around with it. A burst appendix will make you very sick and can kill you. It is much easier to just get the appendix removed, rather than lay in the hospital for a week because you ignored it.
not long, thats why they perform emergency appendectomies.when an appendix ruptures,a serious infection ensues and what was appendisitis now becomes peritonitis. if this is you, dont wait!!!
