How to make my son breathe through his nose?!
Question: I m a mom of 8 yr old boy. Last week my son complained of something blocking his nose and he cant breathe properly. we consulted a doctor and he told that he is suffering from a unique kinda sinus and he is having allergy from dust in the air he is breathing. Doctor has seriously adviced him to breathe through his nose and not through his mouth as he said it will filter the air and put less pressure on the lungs to cure this sinus problem. But my son always breathes through his mouth and after repeatedly telling him he just doesnt breathe through his nose n says he just doesnt has d habit of doing so. I was just wondering that during night when he sleeps if i can just put my hand over his mouth,will it make him start breathing through his nose? Can he develop a habit of breathing through his nose? I obviously dont want that he develops some other breathing problem.

he got to blow his nose and put Vick's so he could breath better and better yet you could have boiling water with Vick's in it so in your house he could breath the Vick's and hopefully that will work
YOU COULD GO TO JAIL FOR SMOTHERING HIM!OR ATTEMPTED MURDER! you have a quack Dr get the child to a allergist and get the allergen found , if you can remove it or him from it then you have won half the battle.there are a lot of medications out there that will shrink the swelling in the nose,if that is a real diagnoses .by the way why worry about what breathing habit he might develop by breathing throw his nose,at least he will be a live!.
