How do you avoid an anxiety attack? Serious answers only.?!

Question: To avoid them you need to avoid stressful situations, and don't over think things. Try to go to bed when you are tired, so that you don't wake up having one.

To stop onTry to control yourself if you feel one coming on. It can be done to talk yourself out of one, by convincing yourself that it is just your body doing it, and it will pass, that it isn't really that bad, but it takes alot of patience, and will power.
Mostly Xanax works for me.

Good luck.

Yes Xanax works well....also I will get up and do something to take my mind of off the anxiety coming on (dishes, laundry or even just walking around) Just try and relax.

I have an anxiety disorder and sometimes you will know before it gets to the panic point. Other times you are subconsciously freaking out and you need to stop and realize that you are doing it so that you may control what is causing it. Thats really training yourself to pay attention to you body and not whats going on around you and how others are reacting. Because others are calm doesn't mean your mind is. It takes a while to start to train your mind to pay attention to the rest of it. When your facial muscles tense up, head pain and increase heart rate you CAN feel it if you are not busy in the moment and it gives you time to counter act this. I have had to leave a basket of stuff in the middle of walmart and walk out. I sat in my car for a few min and I was fine, although I cannot figure what triggered it I still stopped the problem before it got worse.
