Do you think I have a kidney stone?!
Question: I have only had Xray done. I have to get a CT scan to determine for sure if it is a Kidney stone or not, but my Dr. said they found a 4 mm calcification on the Xray. I don't know anything about Kidney stones, but I haven't had any back pains since the end of January. We're now at the end of March. I saw my Dr. today and she said Xray are all jumbled up and you can't know for sure what you're looking at. She said the 4 mm calcification was on the outside of my left kidney and that it might have been my hip bone. Do you think it's a Kidney stone? What's your opinions?

I've had several kidney stones. They usually pass. If you are not having any pain or any symptoms of a urinary tract infection, then you may have already passed the stone. 4mm is not too large to pass, but it would be painful to some degree. I've currently got one that is 10mm (1cm). Its far to large to pass. Most of the time it doesn't hurt, but when it does it brings me to my knees. I'm getting lithotripsy surgery in a couple of days. yikes i don't know. but i had a kidney stone over the summer and they hurt like a ****** so good luck
um my uncles had a bunch of kidney stones.. and his back always hurts when he has them. the only way to know if it is a kidney stone is if it take u forever to go to the bathroom or if it hurts when u go. i know it sounds gross but if u really wanna know.
