How do I get my boyfriend to stop smoking pot?!

Question: By being honest and open with him. Let him know that you don't approve, and that you want him to stop. Tell him that you will help him stop if he feels that he can't do it on his own. Let him know what about smoking pot bothers you. If you just say I don't like it, then he may not see your point. But if you say that you don't like it when he's high, that you are afraid of him when he's smoking with his friends, or that the smoke is affecting your life on a daily basis, let him know what's up.

Here are some bad things that come with smoking pot:

Dry mouth
Nausea
Headache
Tremor
Decreased coordination Increased heart rate
Altered pulmonary status
Altered body temperature
Reduced muscle strength
Decreased cerebral blood flow
Increased food consumption

Trouble remembering things
Sleepiness
Anxiety
Paranoia
Altered time perception

Anxiety and panic
Paranoia
Confusion
Aggressiveness
Hallucinations
Sedation
Altered libido Possible suicidal ideation
Depersonalization
Derealization
Poor sense of time
Worsened short-term memory
Addictive behaviors
Amotivational syndrome

Just to name a few, you can bring those up in your discussion with your boyfriend if you need something to back up your argument.

Bottom line though, if he is not willing to let go of his pot for you, then he is not worth your time. Best of luck to you.

withhold sex

leave his stoned ***. he probably won't even notice for a couple of days. my ex chose meth over me and our son. if your boyfriend is seriously into his dope you may not be able to stop him. my advice- R-U-N.

Well, I assume you don't want to get him busted.

Encourage him to take the bud and make hash brownies to avoid having it in the air. If there is a major health hazard it is likely in the combustion products.

Fortunately, pot smokers do not usually smoke pot in quantities that a tobacco smoker smokes tobacco... they would be continuously stoned out of their skull. So, while I expect this might still have effects on cancer rates, I would expect the effect may be too small to be clear statistically.

That makes proving the link more difficult than with tobacco. I would not suggest that you try to do that, simply because he is likely already aware that such a link is tenuous. Look for evidence of other unwanted effects.

Question is, does he want to quit? If so, try to have him cut down on smoking, until he barely does it anymore. It will take a while but you have to help him through it.
If you just want him to stop, don't have sex with him.

become a nasty freak with him and then stop having sex and then tell him why, hey it worked on me
