High fever, low fever, high fever?!
Question: My nephew is 2 years old, and generally a healthy kid. Last couple of weeks he has had an ear infection, sore throat, etc... Recently he was admitted to the hospital with a 104 temp. then it dropped to 98, and wnet back up. The doctors don't know what's wrong with him. I would love for some suggestions as to what might be wrong. He has a high bacteria count that I know of. Like 2900 and the normal is 14 or 15 I was told... They are going to check for Leukemia soon if all the other test are negative. Any advice, esp. from doctors would be appreciated. Thanks!!

this type of fever is usually seen in infections , may be he has an abcess in the ear.
