One more question about herpes?!

Question: actually probably like 3

can i ever really know if i have it? since i was tested once and the results were never given to me and now i have no marks?

how often do outbreaks come? if i dont have one for a year do i know that i dont have it? or can they commonly go for long periods between?

and if your only supposed to be able to infect someone 5 -7 days before or after your outbreak can you become infected from someone who is dormant and hasnt had a breakout

because the only people i slept with had no symptoms, and didnt have cold sores..

im just trying to figure where i could have gotten it from if i have it...i guess i'll have to wait until i have a breakout

I was mis-diagnosed for 2 years! So it could take a while to get the Dr that will help you....

Frequency of outbreaks depends on YOU....stress level mostly...stress is the biggest trigger of outbreaks.

The 5-7 days there are PRE-symptoms...you'll figure out what they are...for me I get a butt-cramp on the side it happens on...(you'll notice it always happens in the same spot!) and then I'll feel a tingling, then an itching BEFORE there are sores...I'm contagious from the 1st buttcramp!!
UNTIL after the sores dry out, scab up & you are back to normal-looking skin (people often give it to each other in the itching or scabbing time - thinking the virus is not "out" yet - or gone)

Herpes can go for a long time as long as a whole yr, you could have no symptoms.

It flares up when your stressing!

Where did you have your testing done? You need to call the office or center where they did the testing and get a copy of the results. You have a legal right to copies of all of your medical records, although they do have the right to charge you a nominal fee for copying them for you.

Frequency of outbreaks is a very individual thing ranging from continuous outbreaks to never having any outbreaks. Some people carry the virus and never have an outbreak. You can still transmit the virus through
