Yeast infection or worse?!

Question: if you treat a yeast infection and the symptoms go away is there still a chance you might have an std?

or will the symptoms persist because it's not an yeast infection?

I'm going to the doctor anyway - it won't be for awhile though because of my status (that'll be fixed soon)

- I just want to know what the chances are now

I'm pretty sure it's just a yeast infection -I've had one before and after my period it went away

But it's white coming out and clumpier and drying very yellow this time

the yellow concerns me

Is there an odor with the discharge? Odors usually mean there is also another underlying infection like trich, or bacterial infection. These are infections but are classified as STD's. If you treated for a yi and the symptoms are still there, I would assume there is something else going on. You need to specifically ask to be tested for all STD's, this should include a pelvic exam and blood test. I dont know your sexual behavior--if it is risky, then the chance is high. Good thing is if it is, it sounds like one of the STDs that is curable with antibiotics. Use protection in the future for your own health. good luck (dont use the YI medication before your appointment, it can screw up the results)

They now have over-the-counter pee tests to see what infection type you have
Try one!
