Has anyone done a colon cleansing and which one should i use?!

Question: You intestines were well designed to clean themselves. They won't appreciate your help at all. A colon cleanse is nothing but a very expensive laxative- nothing more, nothing less. Your colon is not a long tube of toxins, with waste hanging around in pockets- no matter what the ads say. Any "toxins" you ate have already either been absorbed or eliminated, and will be long gone before the laxatives get there. To remove heavy metals from the body requires chelation, which is a nasty, hazardous process done only in the hospital by doctors who know what they are doing. Nothing you can take by mouth will leach anything out of your system- nothing. If you want to keep your colon healthy and happy, eat normal foods. Stuff like whole grains, fruits and veggies go a lot futher to keeping your colon healthy than all those weird potions. Taking one will simply give you diarrhea. Normally, folks try to avoid diarrhea, you know? It removes the good bacteria from your gut- the ones you need for normal digestion, along with whatever few bad ones you happen to have. It's very rough on the whole system. And while you are running to the toilet, the makers of the colon cleansers are laughing all the way to the bank. People have lived quite well for thousands of years without having to clean their colons, and nothing has changed that makes it necessary now. Do yourself and your colon a favor. Feed it decent food, and skip on the colon cleanse. If you feel a need to clean something, try the house you live in, the clothes you wear or even the windows. And leave your poor colon alone.

You look like a woman to me..don't even try cleaning your "colon"

I wanted to get an enema once just to say I did. But i didn't kno how, so I went to the emergency room at the hospital, saying I was constipated and that it was giving me painfull cramps.lol. Anyway, they used a syringe to shoot something (I dunno what it was) up my butt and I was flushed clean(after a visit to the john, of course). Nothing left. Then I went home and had crazy anal with my man :o)

Buy a 2-pack of enima's from your local drug store. Cut the tip off the bottle and bend over doggy style and shove it directly up your anus and squirt the whole bottle up there. Continue sitting in that position for a few minutes to soften up the bowel in your intestines and anus. Head directly to the toilet after a bit and walla!

You will be given a combination of liquid diet, laxatives, or enemas for up to 2 days prior to the test with instructions on how to use them. Also Several medications are available for bowel cleansing, including polyethylene glycol 3350 (GoLYTELY, NuLYTELY), magnesium citrate (Citroma), and senna (X-Prep).
I have had two done and I perfer the one that you take laxatives and stay on a clear liguid diet for 3 days.
the other way which is to drink polyethylene glycol 3350, magnesium citrate and senna is really hard. It is nasty tasing and will make you gag.
talk to your doctor if you have a weak stomach or are easy to gag. If so the second option is not the best.
Good luck...

just drink some prune juice ( i work in a nursing home that what we give the elderly). eat prunes.

NONE!

I wouldn't use any of these products. They are nothing more than expensive laxatives. The best way to keep your colon functioning normally is eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and drink 3-4 liters of water a day. Water helps your entire digestive system work optimally.

Don't fool with mother nature unless you have a problem.

Take care my friend.

Just eat your fiber.. you can keep a healthy colon by eating the right balance of foods. Flax seed is good, psyllium is also a good way to naturally clean the colon.
Cleansing will not only remove all toxins from your colon, but all the healthy bacteria as well. These bacteria are beneficial in maintaing floral balance, guards against bad bacteria, and helps moves stuff along the digestive system. So, it is very important that we restore this healthy bacteria with a probiotic.
Enemas (as some mentioned) won't clean colons, they only flush up part of the way.

How does this pertain to cancer?
