Why does my skin gets bruised all the time?!

Question: I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year. My pain shifts from my back to my chest to my eyes to my neck, etc. Pain is everywhere, just name it. The fatigue is something I cannot explain. I have to take naps after showering, or if I get energy to cook a meal, I won't have enough energy to eat it. Most of my symptoms have been scientifically explained by doctors, so Fibromyalgia is real. My problem is that I have bruises in my arms and legs all the time. My iron levels are fine, my circulation is poor because of the Raynauds phenomenon, but I never had this before. I do not recall hurting my self or putting pressure on my skin. I'm sick of doctors telling me that everything is part of the FMS condition. I only take one ultram (tramadol) a day. I do not eat junk food. I exercise a little because of the pain and numbness in my legs, otherwise I'm okay. Any ideas? Maybe I'm missing something?

If you are sure you are not bruising yourself in your sleep you should have your blood clotting mechanism evaluated. Have you noted other bleeding tendencies: nosebleeds, prolonged bleeding from minor nicks and cuts, excessive menses. Normal blood clotting depends on normal noninflammed capillary function, normal amount of and functioning platelets and adequate functional clotting proteins. These can all be tested fairly simply by your doctor if you haven't had them done already.
