Got two tiny splinters in my finger on the left hand?!

Question: Any good or better methods of getting rid of it apart form tweezers i don't even have tweezers.I've tried soaking it in warm NOT hot water and a soap bar and the first one started to slowly but surely get smaller but it's still visible on my skin why is this i would have thought one of them would have at least disappeared. It seems to be taking a rather long time.Luckily i'm right-handed so it should effect my typing but it's very uncomfortable and want to get rid of it immediately. They're very faint so it's almost impossible getting it out with my fingernails. It's a hair splinter by the way ooh it's so painful.

Just leave them, they will work themselves out eventually. I am serious. Unless you want to cut your hand to get them out.

try a sewing needle

soak in water. this usually softens splinters, sometimes making them slip out by themselves

squeeze it like its a pimple

what are you a man or a mouse? lol...... i always swear by a pin

baking soda and warm water let it sit and crust on you hand and then pick it off try it a couple of times or even diging it out with tweezer

go buy some tweezers...seriously, if u want them out that bad. other than that, all i can suggest is get a pin or needle and start digging away.

you can get a ointment that draws them out, think its called magnesium paste http://www.tipking.co.uk/tip/5929.html

Try tape, you stick it over the splinters and then take it off and it should take them out of your hand.. good luck!

try gently scraping back the skin with a blunt knife , squeezing the top of finger at the same time

i guess you just have to cut off your finger

:/

I would try a needle or safety pin, but if that doesn't work then you'll have to go get some tweezers. You can find them for less than $2.

Good luck, splinters suck!

What you do is..
Get a needle, sterilize it by rubbing in alcohol or heating it with fire. stick the needle below the splinter so the skin goes in and the splinter pops up. Tweezers are most helpful at this point but since you dont have any, dig in with your fingers and pray to god.

ouch....what about nail clippers? and just carefully use the tips to help pull it out...but careful not to cut the splinter.

if you keep swithching from warm to cold and so on the skin should push out the wood.

Put some drawin salve on it! If u do that and put a band aid over it then do that over night then soack it in the morning and put more salve on it and keep doing that till it is! Gone! U can buy the salve at wal mart or Any local drug store!Hope this helps! I was glad to answer!

Go to the chemist and buy some magnsium sulphate, put the paste on your finger where the splinters are, and then make sure you put a plaster over it, so that its sealed. Give it 12 hours, check it if it has not drawn the splinters out, put more paste on and cover again.
Magnesium Sulphate will draw out splinters, boils etc its not expensive and is easy to use.

You might try placing a band-aid over them for a few hours. The moisture in your own skin will cause the flesh beneath the band-aid to turn a shade lighter than the rest of your skin, this will enable you to see the splinters better and perhaps get them out easier. You could also try a Biore nose strip or some other peel off facial mask product.

try putting superglue on the splinters (or any kind of glue);put enough so you can grasp it. when it drys peel it off;might pull them out.also wax (like for removeing hair)

Easiest to get them out with just your finger nails cause you can feel it. CLEAN nailclippers can be used to cut away a few dead layers of skin.

Soak your hand for a good 10 mins or so in hot water with plenty of salt in it, this will help to draw it to the surface. If you don't have tweezers you should be able to get it out with a needle, you may have to pick of the outer layer of skin to get to it but this won't hurt if you are careful. I got about 20 tiny cactus hairs in my fingers a while ago and this eventually worked for the ones I couldn't get with the tweezers, although I had to repeat the process a few times to get them all. Good luck!

so

Put some scotch tape sticky side to the splinter then jerk it back as if you are taking off elastoplast.

go to the chemist and buy some magnesium sulphate paste,(it's not expensive) put a blob on the entry of the splinters and put on a plaster. The paste will draw out the splinters really quick, and pain free. It's great for kids aswell. Trust me, it works.
