Feeling really ill?!

Question: I have a bad throat infection - I saw the doctor today and he gave me some anti-biotics. I haven't eaten a lot today because I felt so bad - now I just got up to get some dinner and I suddenly feel absolutely awful - I'm dizzy, I'm boiling hot and freezing cold at the same time, pale, sweating buckets and shaking - is it just the throat infection or something else?

Oh poor you. Its probably the throat infection making you feel so awful. Try and drink plenty of fluids. Eat a little if you can, but dont worry too much. It'll take around 48 hours for the antibiotics to kick in then you should start to feel better. Make sure you finish the full course of tablets though, even if you feel better. If you feel feverish you could take some Paracetamol. (The maximum dose is 8 tablets in 24hours. )

Take it easy and I hope you soon feel better. x

These are all symptoms of infection so you probably don't have anything else going on. Antibiotics are known for upsetting stomachs as they kill a large portion of the bacteria living in it, that probably just made your other symptoms worse. But keep on them! Try taking the pills with food and eating plain things like clear briths and noodle soups. Feel better.

its the throat infection, im just getting over one- i thought i was dying on monday and tuesday i felt that bad!!!

just drink plenty and try and eat, i was sick on the anti biotics so just ate toast for two days, feel better now but still feel weak,

take paracetamol to keep your temp down too

get well soon!!!!!!
