What is a normal reading for sugar on a glucose machine?!

Question: My father-in-law has diabetes, and I am feeling very faint, and dizzy, so they took a reading on my sugar, and it was 59. That was after eating. Can someone shed some light on this because they said it's suppose to be around 120-130.....thanks

My little girl is a diabetic. For children should be around 90-160. Adults between 80-115. 59 is low, treat with 3oz juice, anymore will raise sugar levels too high. He should eat snacks in between meals to regulate blood sugar level. Check him often!
