Can i use skin lightening lotion when pregnant?!
Question: im five months pregnant, i purchased skin lightening lotion that contains 2% hydroquinone in the formula...can i use it right now...please no stupid answers, appreciate nurse and obgyn input as well. will be asking my obgyn at appointment but what some input now..thanks

It is not known whether hydroquinone topical will be harmful to an unborn baby. Do not use hydroquinone topical without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during treatment.
No I would definitely not use it. For an exact answer, call your Ob/Gyn's office first thing tomorrow & ask the nurse. They will be able to give you an instant answer. Some people say the low % types are OK to use during pregnancy but, the prescription hydroquinone is not. I wouldn't take a chance.
