How much will one glass of juice raise my blood sugar if I am a diabetic?!

Question: It all depends on your body and how it responds to the juice in question. Each of us being totally unique and individual has different responses to the sugars in juices.

You must test your own bod. Test glucose, drink about 4 ounces or half cup of juice, and wait about 90 minutes and test again. This will give you how much your glucose will raise with that much of that juice.

Depends.

Depends on how concentrated the juice is. Whether or not it is 100% juice or juice with high fructose corn syrup (sugar). Depends on the amount of carbohydrates and sugars in the juice.

Depends on how big the glass is. Depends on how fast you drink the juice (gulp down vs. sipping over time).

Depends on your sensitivity to your bodies natural insulin production. Depends on your sensitivity to glucose in the blood stream.

So, it depends.

Take care.
