Too much sugar in urine,,,what can i take to reduce other than stopping sugary f!

Question: Lay off the potatoes, white bread, and pasta. These have a lot of carbohydrates in them and will cause your blood sugar to go even higher and then it will spill over into your kidneys, which is not good at all. You need to eat 100% whole wheat breads and 100% whole grain products. These are better for diabetics because they are full of fiber and will pass through your system without elevating your blood sugar as high as the white bread, which had been bleached out and most of the stuff that is left is bad for diabetics.

You also need to drink a lot of water which will help flush the sugar out of your kidneys and bring your blood glucose back down.

Walking or doing physical activity will also help burn calories and will reduce your blood sugar.

I sure hope that you are not eating or drinking anything with sugar in it. This will just make your blood glucose soar and cause more of it to spill over into your kidneys.

why don't you want to stop eating sugary foods? thats pretty much the only way to stop it if its a big issue for you.

Nothing. Also how do you measure your sugar content in urine?

jow in the heck can u tell if u have 2 much sugar in ur urine and why r u looking

Are you a diabetic? You shouldn't be spilling glucose. You should be on an ADA diet and monitor your blood glucose. See your doctor who can recommend a dietician to help you.

the only way is to drink water and cranberry juice

Eat salty foods.

drink lots of water and try to eat less carbs too, besides less sugar and less sugary drinks.

at least try to stop one of those things..try replacing sugary drinks with orange juice or flavored water..now a days, you really don't have an excuse with all the healthy water products that are around..

well refined sugar in drinks and food don't help....but EVERYTHING you eat is broken down into sugar because that is what the body runs on. If you are spilling sugar in your urine, you are eating too much, and you are eating the wrong things. You need to eat smaller portions, and you need to eat more protien, and only complex carbs. NO PROCESSED foods.

If you're sugar's too high stopping or at the very least cutting down your intake of higher carb/sugar foods is exactly what you need to be doing

Increasing your exercise might help a little but making changes in your diet is unavoidable

Drink more water than you drink sugary drinks...same thing with eating sweets...drink more water

Avoid sugar and high amounts of carbohydrates. Eat balanced meals with whole grain carbs at regular times. Losing weight helps control diabetes.
