My skin was burnt last year?!

Question: Well, I know this sounds funny, but last year I went to Florida and got burnt for the FIRST TIME. I had very white skin before that because I have never been exposed to so much sun. I actually have olive skin (green undertones). After that, I got a natural, nice Mediterranean tan. Now, it is winter and I notice my skin can't get paler because the burnt parts still show! I can still see the red parts where the skin was burnt. What can I do or buy to remove these red parts of my skin so my skin can be as white and fresh as it was before I got burnt?

I'm not sure what kind of redness you are talking about...its not a new sunburn, or irritation from anything else? Are you talking about the mediterranean tan itself? If you are saying you want your tan to go away altogether, it might take a very long time before your skin goes back to its original color...some people don't go back, really. It all depends on your ethnic background, and how much exposure you get to the sun on a daily basis. If you want to have the best chance of your skin fading back you need to keep it protected from light, even in winter. Lack of exposure to sun is the best way to lighten.

You say you have olive skintones, so I'm guessing you are most likely to be in an ethnic group that doesn't tend to regain original color once burning happens, at least not for a while.

If your skin is irritated or anything, I recommend pure shea butter or cocoa butter. Olive oil is very nice too (just greasy, you don't need too much), and aloe vera gel (the more pure, the better...not just commercial aftersun products).

try getting a moisturiser and exfoliater, that may help
