If you have thyroid nodules, do you see an ENT or an endocrinologist?!

Question: I just had a total thyroidectomy for thyroid nodules. I was first referred to an ENT for this by my primary doctor because I was also having throat pain. From there, I was referred to an Endocrinologist. By the way, nodules and goiters are from an iodine deficiency. Try treating them first with this before EVER considering surgery if possible. It's much worst to be thyroidless. Anyway, an Endo is supposed to be a specialist in the Endocrinology system (aka-Thyroid).

endocorinologist

Endocrinologist, an ENT specialist would more than likely refer you to one. The thyroid isn't part of the ears, nose or throat, though I'm not sure if ENT people deal with them in some regard. Endocrinologists regularly deal with thyroid issues.

I do have nodules and a goiter. I have to see an endocrinologist. Ive had them for several years but Ive been ignoring them! Now I really cant swallow & Im having a terrable time with sleep. My aunts nodules were cancerous and she is just now finishing her 2nd round of chemo. Lets get our "necks" above water, and get these taken out!
