It might be from one of your tastebuds - if you eat something too sugary or too spicy or hot - Or you could have burned your tounge - your tastebuds can become "swollen" kind of - and it can cause a painful bump - Otherwise you could have a canquer sore on your tongue.

It is caused by either
1. Eating to many things with too much sugar
2. You are sick or your going to be sick
They're may be others, but i do not know of them.
Usually just from a little cut that becomes infected. Kind of annoying but you'll get over it. Hydrogen peroxide is the best course of action to get rid of it quickly.
