Is this a sign of DIABETIES?! --SCARED?!

Question: Okay well I am scared I could have diabeties!

I was talking to my mom a while ago and I told her something and she said "Uh oh thats not good thats a sign of diabeties" and then I jsut asked a question about my urine on here and some of you said "That could be a sign of diabeties"

So here are my signs..
-Urine smells kindof strong sometimes
-Sometimes crave juicy foods for practically a whole day then goes away
-Sometimes I stand up and my vision goes all black and I get dissy (5 seconds or so)

So PLEASE tell me that I don't have diabeties!
Or if there is a chance I do that it is curable/wont do major harm to me!!?

Your symptoms could be due to anything.

Strong urine smell could be due to the foods you ate. For example, asparagus.

Blurry vision/dizziness when standing up to quickly. Low blood pressure or other medical malady

Craving juices - you crave juices. I crave bacon. lol

Some diabetes symptoms include:
Frequent urination
Excessive thirst
Extreme hunger
Unusual weight loss
Increased fatigue
Irritability
Blurry vision

Check out the ADA website, it has an online risk evaluation.

However, it's best to have yourself checked by a Doctor so you don't worry yourself silly. Also, if needed, it's always best to address things now than later.

If you think you are diabetic or concerned that you might be diabetic then you should be checked out by a doctor ASAP.

no one can diagnose you on Answers. in order to get a definite diagnosis, you need to go see a doctor.

however, what i can give you is some information. the 3 major symptoms of diabetes are 1- intense, constant thirst. 2 - extreme hunger, all the time, and eating way more than normal, yet not gaining any weight. and 3 - going to the bathroom constantly. There are other symptoms, these are only the big 3

again - only a doctor can diagnose diabetes. but what you've listed on here, sounds like a normal human being. strong smelling urine could be because you're not drinking enough water. everyone craves foods at one point or another, and the dizzyness is orthostatic hypotension....basically when you stand up too fast, BP drops and you feel dizzy. everyone feels it occasionally.

Sounds more to me like you are dehydrated. Unless you have had sudden weight loss or gain, have acetone breathe, severe cravings for high sugar foods, nausea after eating, or some of the other symptoms of diabetes, you don't have diabetes.

urine that smells fruity or very strong could indicate diabetes...go to dr. and have a blood glucose check...other symptoms are excessive thirst...blurred vision....dehydration......extreme hunger...weight loss...dry mouth...irrritability....sometimes with type 2 weight gain.if your BS levels stay high it means it is damaging your organs...need to see dr.....needing to urinate alot means your body is trying to get rid of the excess sugar

There are stacks in entire libraries for conditions worldwide with the symptoms of which you just described....

If you want to know if you have diabetes or not, you go to the doctor and you get a test.

Self diagnoses and jumping to conclusions is bad medicine.. Go see someone with far better guessing skills like a trained physician!

Good luck!

First off, I am no doctor or expert of diabetes.

It sounds to me like you are looking for someone to explain that you are ok (which I do A LOT of online) but the truth is only a blood test can tell you the answer to that. I recommend you see a doctor when you get a chance, but until then maybe these things can make you feel better are your signs:

-Piss smells bad. Relax.
-Juicy food is good. We all crave it a lot sometimes.
-The vision going black can be a sign of postural hypotension, which happens to everyone but some people more and some people less when they stand up after laying down for a long period of time. It's just the blood flow trying to readjust from pumping sideways to pumping up, and so the brain doesn't get blood/oxygen immediately and you feel dizzy, see spots, and occasionally may faint. I get this too a lot but I've never fainted.

If there is any hope of you not having diabetes, those would be the alternatives. But still do not hesitate to see the doctor, because it's better to find out whether or not you have diabetes than to not find out and worry for the rest of your life, or worse... =x

Please see a doctor. I hope you will be ok, and either way, diabetes is not a death sentence like some diseases are, and will most likely not kill you for a long long time if ever. It could be curable depending on the type, and with stem cell research, new cures will be developed to completely cure diabetes eventually (Shouldn't take too long and certainly not before you'd die from it). Also, I think that diabetes can be cured by living with it appropriately until it goes away.

Hope this helps!

it could be
also strong urine smells from infections and not enough water
ask your mom about a doctors visit
drink more water while your waiting
