Getting over Campylobacter food poisoning?!

Question: I thought I had recently had a 'winter vomiting' virus however my test results showed positive for Campylobacter. I am still not fully better after 2 weeks - although obviously better than I was!

I have read it can take up to 2 weeks to recover fully but I am already at that stage! How long is it going to take for my stomach to return to normal its driving me crazy?

My Dr's are reluctant to prescribe anything as I am pregnant and already on antibitoics for a UTI caused by having the food poisoning.

Anyone got any advice/ tips/ info.

One of my kids had it when he was 2 and i was heavily pregnant with my last one.It too him 3 weeks to get over it.I first thought it was meningitis, the symptoms were that severe.
Drink loads of water to flush your system out..Don't take Imodium or anything else (if you can whilst preggers any way,,i forgot)
You just gotta ride it out hun.
Did Environmental health get in touch with you? They should have done to try and find the source

Just drink plenty of fluids as long as the diarrhea lasts in order to maintain your hydration. The illness usually lasts about a week, but severe cases, (like you apparently have) may persist for up to three weeks. *For future reference, this type of food poisoning is usually caused by other food coming in contact with raw poultry or eating undercooked poultry. People have become ill from contact with infected dogs and cats.

omg this must be aw full 4 you, keep drinking pure water and get some activia yogurt to put the good stuff back and rest, rest, rest. don't worry about the baby there tough little ones.x

Drink two Danactive yogurt drinks a day. Drink peppermint tea and eat ginger snaps for your stomach. Drink cranberry juice for your urinary tract. These are all safe options when you are pregnant.
