Chicken pox vaccine!?!

Question: Is my child covered, can she get it?

Answers: Is my child covered, can she get it?

Well, I've heard no. It cuts down the risk but there is a small risk that she could get it. My friend's mother has had the chicken pox four times! Don't worry, not that you have her vacinated she should be okay and not have a high risk.

I think someone is watching HBOs Adams.....Get her the shot

i don't know quite what you mean by covered. if she already has the pox it won't do any good...her body will already be making the antibodies without the shot. if she hasn't had them and is covered by insurance she should be able to get the shot. if you mean can she get covered in pox from getting the shot, my daughter had them all over her belly after her vaccine but it was a very mild case and oatmeal baths kept her from scratching them. best of luck to you and your child!

Not sure where you live but this is a standard vaccination in most states now. Talk to your doctor.

yes, sorry. ALOT of these kids in my school who had the chicken pox vaccine ten times worse than i did (i wasn't vaccinated). i had a fever of 99 degrees, barely had the rash thereforit didn't itch as much, ect. the kids at my school had a fever of over 100, they said that their rash was so itchy. just giving u a heads up. good luck!!!!!!

The chickenpox (varicella) vaccine is the best way to prevent chickenpox. Experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimate that the vaccine provides complete protection from the virus for nearly 90 percent of young children who receive it. When the vaccine doesn't provide complete protection, it significantly lessens the severity of the disease.

The chickenpox vaccine (Varivax) is recommended for:

-Young children. In the United States, children receive two doses of the varicella vaccine
