Okay, I will try to help you best I can. I am a nurse, so I will suggest things to you.

1. If she has sepsis, then she is no doubt going to have a fever. The only thing you can do is encourage her to drink plently of fluids and take her antibiotics. I would imagine that she is on some IV antibiotics seeing as how she has sepsis.

2. You could offer throat lozenges (cough drops) to help with the cough, or ask the nurses at the hospital if they can give her something to help with the cough.

3. As for dehydration...encourage her to drink...ANYTHING... if all she wants is apple juice, then by god! Give her apple juice. I know from experiance that sometimes it is HELL to get someone to drink something when they are sick, but encourage, encourage, encourage!! :o)

4. The real big thing you need to do for her though is be supportive, and there for her! A lot of times people tend to somewhat give up when they are really sick...try to keep her happy and give words of encouragement...to help her keep on keepin on!

5. As for getting back her strength....the number one thing is this: GET HER OUT OF BED!! if at all possible, get her up... even if its just to sit in a chair for an hour...moving around (as much as she can tollerate) will be VERY benificial! Sometimes, all people want to do is lay around when they arent feeling good, but in reality, that is the WORST thing they can do.... if you can get her to take a little walk (even if its just a few steps) that will help as well. Any physical activity that is not too strenuous, which she can tollerate will be EXTREMEMLY benificial. :o)

I hope this helps!!! :o)

You should do all these things,I require.

i think if she is in the hospital. u should leave it to professionals.
just relax and let them do what they have to do.

Be there for her. If she is hospitalized, the staff are doing most of the above things. Encourage her.

Luck.

I agree with the other answers, let the hospital do their thing, she is having specialized treatment, and is in good hands
