Answers: Mine is 8.4 so I have to change my ways. Any advice would be welcome. (Please, no bull)

Mine is 4.5 but was a lot higher when I was first tested.

Good for cholesterol

soy, fish, tea, oats, peas, and olive oil
It is recommended that fish should be eaten at least twice a week in order to receive the full benefits associated with fish oil. Fish such as sardines and salmon are a good source
oatmeal or oat bran.
Chinese red yeast rice
Green tea, oolong tea
pecans, pistachios, and walnuts
blueberries
red wine and beer

Bad for cholesterol

fried foods, red meats and dairy products
Sea foods such as shrimp and lobster
bacon sausage salami
take aways and processed foods
cakes, biscuits and pastries, coconut oil and palm oil.

mine is 4.1. Your is high as you know, eat well and take exercise that should bring it down.

Mine is just over 5.0 but used to be worse. If you smoke, you should stop. Exercise is good for lowering cholestrol. Obviously, diet is the key to lowering your cholestrol. Cut out high fat foods and replace with high fibre stuff, like wholefoods, fruit, veg and salads. Good luck.

3.5mmol/litre

Regular exercise, plenty of fruit n veg, watch the saturated fat you consume, but do have things like olive oil, oh, if you smoke jack it in!! good luck.

Mine 3.5.Don't too many diary products, no sugar or sweets.
Avoid animal fats and the skin of Chicken (full of cholesterol!)
Keep to low fat products and exercise when possible. I'm quite ancient age wise, but look at myself as a recycled teenager!!

Mine always used to be high.
At first I tried exercising without changing my diet much and it went down slightly but I gave up. Later when it reached above 7, I basically gave up dairy (with the exception of low fat cheese on occasions) and it dropped down to about 5. Yes I did love my dairy!
So I'd suggest the usual measures....a good amount of 'regular' exercise, cutting back on your dairy and bad fats, eating more fruit and vegies of course and adding oats and psyillium husks to your diet. Just make sure if you do cut certain foods out that you replace the vitamins and minerals elsewhere.

3.3. Very suprising to me, as I'm overweight and eat far too much cake

Mine used to be 11 but since taking statins it is now 3.4
