many conditions shorten the life span of a red blood cell (normally 120 days).

to name a few: increased fragility of the cell from metabolic abnormalities, an overactive spleen, certain drugs or infections, malignancy, or an autoimmune condition (WG is just one of the rare ones -- there are a lot more)...

Comparative and relative statement to other activity in the body and other cell types.

I surely hope you're not looking for a diagnosis ? . . . multiple reasons (surely) that cell life span goes up or down.

Professional athletes replace the total cell count in their bodies more quickly that those that don't work their body regularly or physically. However, we all replace our complete bodies (literally trillions of cells) on an on going basis

yes it could be.. Then it could mean that the white blood cells will take over.
