My sister's in the hospital...?!

Question: She says she has trouble breathing, tires easily, has pains in her chest, her heart rate has elevated, and does NOT make any sort of wheezing or whistling noises while breathing. She was feeling sick a couple of days earlier and the doctor told her she had asthma. We're now positive that isn't the case. Anyway, I'd like to know what you guys think it is?

Get a second opinion. Also, always check out the doctor's record to see if he/she has any malpractices on their record. I think 1 malpractice on their report is too many. Their are plenty of doctors out their with a clean record. Check out the AIM Docfinder to see if your state is listed (if you're in the USA).

If you live in the USA, I would suggest you look for a second opinion at a University-related hospital. You are likely to get better doctors and staff.

Additionally, look up health information on the internet.
I particularly like WebMD where you can look up symptoms. Also try Wrong Diagnosis. This site has an in depth symptom checker. The U.S. National Library of Medicine has excellent websites as well.

I hope this is helpful. Best of luck to you and your sister.

does sound like pnemonia to me. I had no whistling or wheezing but I had the same sympoms. Ask for a 2nd opinion!

She MIGHT have some type of heart disease. Heart disease can affect her oxygen carrying capacity which will lead to difficulty of breathing, chest pain, and increase heart rate. Her tiredness may also related to her low oxygen carrying capacity.

she could have a simple chest infection or exacerbation of asthma that is now infected. With this there would be little wheezing as such as the main problem is the infection and not the asthma. If so, she will be treated with antibiotic therapy, steroids/steroid inhalers, oxygen if she needs it and analgesics for pain control.

Yes ur sis has and asthma.me I have that b4 because of a cigarette, alchohol & drugs that I take, that's why I get those kind of sickness, but when I surrender my life to Jesus he heal me no more smoke,no drugs no alchohol,& I believe that he heal me.

Sounds like a heart condition. Definitely get a second or third opinion

wow hope they find out what it is soon.
